On January 12, 2010, disaster hit in Haiti and thousands of structurally unsound buildings and homes collapsed. In this time of desperate need, the Haitian government requested help from experienced structural engineers from the United States. Terrence Lee was selected as a volunteer structural engineer to survey the damages and to provide recommendations for rebuilding to seismic and hurricane standards.
